Joz Norris is a stand-up comedian, character comic, writer and actor based in London. He started working on the stand-up circuit in 2011 and has since become an acclaimed figure on the alternative comedy, character and clowning circuits, as well as working prolifically in other media and collaborating frequently with some of the best alternative comics.
He has performed at the Edinburgh Fringe three times, with a short run of “Joz Norris is Matt Fisher: Uberperson” in 2012, a full character show, “Joz Norris Has Gone Missing” in 2013 and a non-character-based stand-up show, “Awkward Prophet” in 2014, which played at the Underbelly. All his shows have been enthusiastically received by critics, comics and audiences alike and have appeared in Pick of the Fringe lists by publications including Time Out, Laugh Out London, Fringe Review and others.
He is a frequent collaborator with other comics, being a part of the Chortle Award-nominated Weirdos Collective, with whom he performs regularly both in their annual Christmas shows and their monthly night Blueprint. In other media, he was one half of the popular online What Not Comedy Podcast with Karl Schultz and is a prolific writer, performer and producer of online sketches, as well as performing in sketches, webseries and short films by other producers including Turtle Canyon Comedy, Off Key Creatives and M4 West Media, among others. He was also featured as a guest of Tom Wrigglesworth for BBC Radio 4 Extra’s The Comedy Club Interviews in July 2012.
